Can you share a bit about your journey in executive search and what led you to specialize in the life sciences industry?

“Coming to Govig was a complete Godsend. I was in a different field involving emergency healthcare delivery and was going nowhere with my career. Govig and Associates was an organization with many highly successful recruiters before I came. It gave me faith that I could do it too. For me, it was an opportunity to use my skills and experience in a way that helped others and could produce the kind of life I always wanted for my family. I knew in my soul it was the right place and career for me.”

What strategies do you use to build strong relationships with both clients and candidates, ensuring the right fit for long-term success?

“Building relationships and trust even if there is no immediate return is what I try to focus on every day. We have to be in a learning mindset – always watching for the newest developments in our industry so we can discuss, anticipate, and help our clients gain competitive advantage.”

What do you find most rewarding about helping clients build strong leadership teams?

“When clients ask for examples of our past activities in this area, the research and reflection of our body of work over the past 21 years amazes me. Many of the companies we built were purchased by other organizations for large multiples of their original value – the executives we placed either moved on to start new organizations or utilized their gains to pursue their life’s passion outside of our industry. Other clients have grown from small organizations with fewer than 100 employees to industry leaders in their therapeutic areas and became industry icons. This puts the frustrating days into perspective.”
